get involved with eye bank

Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley and Golf Committee Chairman, Fred Frisch, hosted its 21st Annual "Gift of Sight" Charity Golf Classic at the Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill, NJ. We thank this year's sponsors, golfers, volunteers and all those who made the event a memorable day of camaraderie and philanthropy. We are truly grateful for the support of such passionate and generous attendees.

Proceeds from the outing directly supported the Eye Bank's Gratis Tissue Fund

Sponsors from all levels coupled with this year's auction raised over $22,000. Seven individuals in the Delaware Valley will now benefit from a sight restoring transplant and have a second chance of being able to see. . This fund allows the Eye Bank to provide corneal tissue to individuals in need of a sight restoring cornea transplant but unable to afford the associated costs. Lions Ee Bank was founded on the belief that every person deserves the best sight possible, regardless of their financial situation and works tirelessly to keep its commitment to the community.

Cornea recipients of all ages joined this year's golf outing including two special guests, Peyton and Kacey. Energy and laughter quickly spread across the room as they greeted unfamiliar faces with big smiles.

We congratulate this year's first place winners: Mark Needham, Gary Ceechett, Jay Stout and Kevin Yingling!
